Becoming a producer in film and television is a goal that I take concrete steps toward every day. I am a recent film school graduate that has taken multiple classes that relate to both development and physical production. Subjects that have been taught to me include development for feature film, development for television, story editing and writing coverage, production management, budgeting, and scheduling. While I’ve learned about all of these, I seek to enhance my knowledge and take a practical approach by doing, because without practice, learning about material doesn’t do much good.There are several things that I actively do to gain experience. One thing that I do is producing student and passion projects. On these projects I will build budgets and preliminary schedules, recruit crew members, obtain permission for locations, see to it that the crew gets lunch and craft services, give input on the script and shot list, and many other things. There have been many learning experiences and last minute problems to solve. I’ve gotten a lot better but I still have a lot of room to improve, which is why I seek opportunities to learn. I also write very consistently and have upcoming projects in which I'm dipping my toes into directing.I also work professionally as a production assistant. Recent credits include Kevin Costner's "Horizon- Chapter 2" and "The Chosen." I get invited at times to work as a skilled utility for ESPN, where I manage the cable of the handheld camera operator down on the field of play.
