I am a uniquely skilled problem solver and medical professional who has worked demanding jobs from deep in the wilderness of Alaska, to the Fire Department in Colorado, all the way to the COVID ICU in New York City. While working for the Discovery Channel television show GOLD Rush WW, I was responsible for accident prevention and response in extremely remote mining locations accessible only by helicopter in SE Alaska. My duties as a Safety Officer included helicopter logistics, management and ground crew operations, emergency response and extrication from mining sites, tending to a professional deep water diver and maintaining communications with heavy equipment operators and film crew. I was also tasked with maintaining and stocking our medical first aid kits. My training included occupational self defense firearm training(Grizzly Bear protection) and Mine Safety and Health Administration certification. I was expected to solve any problem thrown our way in the remote Alaskan wilderness and maintain crew health and safety in an extremely dangerous and dynamic environment.
