Amanda Madden is a non-binary, queer filmmaker and artist whose work explores evolutions of intimacy, identity, body, and connection. They have worked in media as an editor, director, and creator of documentary, narrative, and experimental projects for the past 15 years. As an editor, they have worked with clients including MTV, Refinery29, Nickelodeon, Food Network, Condé Nast, and NBC Universal They have also edited multiple short narrative, documentary, and experimental films, the award-winning TV pilot/web series, Mercy Mistress and the feature documentary, Roleplay. Their directing work includes short narrative films, the TV pilot/web series, Mercy Mistress, and award-winning non-fiction projects, Home Abyss and Dear Elsa: 10 Letters + 10 Experiments. They hold an MFA in socially engaged non-fiction media from Hunter College.
