Barrett Burgin is an award-winning rising writer, director, and producer. He is best known for his first feature film CRYO (2022), which released across theaters nationwide and digitally through Saban Films. He has also made a number of short films, including The Next Door (2016), Out of the Ground (2017), and Father of Man (2019).Barrett has a proclivity for psychological thrillers and science fiction films, but often devotes special interest to the synthesization of religious mythos and cinema. He has also written extensively about the intersections between video games, ritual, new media, the afterlife, immortality, and technology.Barrett graduated with Honors with a BA in Theatre & Media Arts from Brigham Young University, and is currently the Chief Creative Officer of a corporate media company in Orem. His own production company is Burgindie, with several features in development that are slated to be filmed in Utah.
