My title with Yellowstone is the Native American Affairs Assistant Coordinator but my main focus is getting the Native American Background Extras. I’ve been doing this since season one to current season 5.
Assisted the Native Affairs coordinator with reading the scripts and giving our input on the native scenes and doing walk through with Set Dec., making sure native scenes look appropriate. My main job is recruiting the Native American Background Extras, keeping in contact with them about scene dates, wardrobe info, location, times, etc. I work remotely from home but when called upon I’ll come to set or when we have big native scenes I’ll come to set to help the PAs keep our extras in line and answer any questions they may have, basically be an extra hand and to represent the crew with a friendly, familiar face.
