Description
Responsibility for horses on and off set, and took personal responsibility and care of Ben Fosters (actor) horse in the movie “Emancipation” staring Will Smith, directed by Antoine Fuqua.
Responsibilities included transportation, preparation, acquiring props, simulated scenes on camera to support director and cinematographer creative process, training the horses and other livestock, and riding instruction for actors. Survey scenes within the bayou for hazardous conditions to assure animal safety.
Demonstrating strong work ethic and commitment to production which included long hours in a variety of weather conditions. Many days were 14 hours long and required acute awareness and focus as I was often in scenes or within feet of the camera.

-Performance horseback riding skills include: Reined Cowhorse, reining, cutting, western pleasure, trail, ranch riding, jumping, dressage.
-Driving includes, teams or single horse, logging, plowing, harvesting, sleigh rides with horses.
-Horse packing in the wilderness, over 700 continuous miles.
-Riding instructor and educator, for individuals, up to 16 riders.
-Cattle handling, up to 3,000 head, on several day long cattle drives.
-Heavy equipment operation of trucks, trailers and tractors.
-Forestry management including tree felling with chainsaws, axes, cross cut saws.
-Wilderness First Responder, and CPR.
-Level two Avalanche Forecasting certification. High altitude mountaineering. Extended backpacking winter and summer months.
-Canoeing, flat and white water.
-Downhill, Backcountry, cross-country and skate skiing.
-Rock, and ice climbing.
-Published photographer and writer.
