What is an Intimacy Director & Choreographer?I act as a liaison between actors by understanding their boundaries and how they work alongside the vision of the director and, ultimately, the story we are trying to tell. Because of my background as a dancer, I know the power of intimate storytelling when consent is given and the harm that can ensue when consent is not. Creating an intimate scene as consent-forward and trauma-informed choreography allows us to work more transparently and efficiently as a collaborative team of creatives. What can you expect from working with me?In the rehearsal process, I am a patient and nonjudgmental resource in adhering to equitable practices that can only be addressed with active listening and an abundance of empathy. I am direct, love to laugh and work collaboratively with the creative team and actors. As a consultant for consent, I love to create visceral, subtle, passionate, nurturing, and caring scenes of intimacy.
