I spent 7 years as a Wildland Firefighter - where I learned the value and importance of working in a team setting in an extremely dynamic environment. I learned the importance of staying calm in stressful environments. I've been able to seamlessly transition those qualities into the film industry. I've been fortunate to work as a Key PA in many short films and commercials. I've been a key contact for the 1stAD, producers, directors and DP's. I understand the importance of Lockup's and the urgency in load ins and load outs. I also work part time at Moving Pictures Limited, a local rental house, where I've learned the Ins and Outs of the G&E department. I've familiarized myself with Grip equipment and Lighting. I can troubleshoot faulty equipment and can easily set up and take apart any grip rigs or lighting set ups. I've worked among very experienced and valued G&E dpt. heads and have learned a great deal from them. I've also been fortunate enough to combine my environmental work with film as a Production Sustainability Advisor on the Netflix show Tires (S2). I worked closely with all production departments to identify and implement sustainability practices that reduce carbon emissionsand environmental impacts on set. This was a 3month shoot where I gained a lot of really valuable experience on set and in pre and post production. I love to learn new things and I hope to expand my knowledge and experience within the film industry in SLC!
