My name is Jonathon Newton and I am working to be a Director and Director of Photography. I am local to SLC and started working on film production in high school.
I have been a Cinematographer for 3 years, Photographer for 4 years and Editor for 6 years. I recently was part of a Documentary crew that was Nominated for the Student Production Awards Southwest Region 2025 for College Non-Fiction Long Form called Beautify the Butterfly. My strengths lie in the visuals and technical gear. Cinematography and creating visuals that stem from Writing. I am very organized and tedious when it comes to creating art and wanting to make everything look perfect. 1stAD, DOP, 1stAC, Editing and Writing are my ultimate goals in the industry.
