Paul Matelski is an audio engineer, sound mixer, music producer currently based in Salt Lake City, UT although he has spent much of his career in Los Angeles, CA.
In the film world, Paul has worked on dozens of projects including as a Foley artist for the film “Axcellerator” (2020) and as a score engineer for the film “Pig Killer” (2022), directed by Chad Ferrin. He has worked on numerous other podcasts and short films and is currently working as lead post-production supervisor for the upcoming film "How Did I Get Here?" - a documentary about the life and career of Gerard MacMahon aka G Tom Mac. Paul has also worked for the legendary Sundance Institute in its tech services department during its last year in Park City, UT (2026).
In the music world, Paul has worked with a diverse range of clients such as DaBaby, Lindsey Stirling, Citizen Cope, Gerard McMann (Lost Boys film, Kiss, Robert Plant, Roger Daltrey), Steven Stills (CSNY), Lonzo Ball, Bo Burnham (comedian), Sharon Stone (actress), Tee Grizzley, and Charlie Burg as well as dozens of other major recording artists on the Atlantic, Universal Music Group, and Fader labels. One of his proudest accomplishments is having worked on Bo Burnham's Grammy-aware winning special "Inside", which premiered on Netflix in 2021.
Paul is known for his work in nearly every major music genre and has worked in legendary recording studios throughout the US including as a staff engineer at the famous Village Studios in LA, a 3-story recording studio complex where artists such as Fleetwood Mac, The Beach Boys, Lady Gaga, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Rolling Stones, and other timeless acts made seminal records.
Paul's skill sets are wide-ranging including, but not limited to, audio post-production, audio recording, audio mixing, sound design, video editing, ADR recording, Foley, etc... Paul is an expert user of Pro Tools, Logic Pro, DaVinci Resolve and Final Cut Pro.
