My name is Jacob Nielson, and I'm a current student at the Film Program at Southern Utah University in Cedar City, Utah. I am very passionate about the art of filmmaking and have been making amateur films since I was 14 years old. I'm seeking any jobs in this area to help me gain more practical experience and build connections for my future career. Previous employers would describe me as dependable, hardworking, flexible, and dedicated to achieving team goals.
My film experience extends mainly to working on student sets, especially graduate/thesis projects. I've worked as a grip and 1st AC. I've also worked on planning small projects with a local film studio by the name of 17 Media.My previous work experience focuses largely on building relationships with clients and conflict resolution in a residential treatment center setting. This includes directing groups of people, addressing issues/conflicts with clients and staff, and cooperating in a team setting to achieve desired results. I also have experience reacting to high-stress medical emergencies, meaning I can quickly respond to changing situations and adjusting course efficiently.Other experience also includes operating heavy equipment (tractors and vehicles with trailers) and outdoor manual labor. I'm CPR/BLS certified. I'm also proficient in Adobe Software (specifically Premier Pro) and have a moderate understanding of Davinci Resolve.
